As most of you know, last year we went to a school in Maelod, Chiangmai to build a chicken farm. Since we had to leave before we could get a glimpse of its new occupants (much to the disappointment of the participants), our friends in Maelod sent us some photos of the “housewarming” they threw for the chickens that arrived at the farm recently. While the team regrets not being there to witness the event ourselves, we feel happy just by seeing the wide smiles on the children’s faces. It warms us as well to know that despite the months that had gone by since our stay in Maelod, our impact is still felt and remembered. The renewed thankfulness for our friendships with our faraway friends spurs us on for the new journey in 2013.
