Second Post from Chiang Mai!
After a week’s stay in Chiang Mai, we have adapted to the local environment and weather much better. And after a hard week’s work, we have managed to finish painting the wall around school and completed half of our chicken farm!
This week, the Orion-ers are going to continue with their work on painting walls outside the classrooms, as well as stenciling and painting the walls inside the classroom.
After a week of interactions with the local kids, the bonds between us and the kids have become much stronger. Some of the kids often invited some of the Orion-ers to play soccer with them after lunch. It was really heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces.
We have also fostered stronger bonds with the local villagers despite our huge language barriers. And of course, our Thai has improved tremendously, thanks to the friendly villagers.
On Sunday, we had rest day and went to the waterfall and had a great time there! 🙂
This coming Friday, we are going to have a camp fire at the village and plan a performance for the villagers. At the moment, we are working really hard on our dance performance and we can’t wait for the day to come! 😀
